A Kinder Touch was launched in 2006 in the quaint community of" Beaverdale" within the city of Des Moines Iowa.
The name " A Kinder Touch" created by owner Becky's daughter Tesha, and derived from Becky's maiden name (Kinder ) was symbolic of all the touches within the shop.
Our first location would not have been possible without a wonderful group of family and friends, painting, creating, and giving of their time.
Today, it has evolved into a beautiful gift shop, where people mention daily, they feel so good, when they walk in" and a Hair Salon, where it is often heard, how good they feel when the walk out!
The blessing of being directed to this quaint area, surrounded by a supportive community, the addition of friends/employees like Lois, Terri, Jane, Jane Ann, Connie, Ronni, Helen, Nora, Mary, Jessica, and Kelly, giving of their time and going the extra mile everyday, all have been a huge part of making " A Kinder Touch" what it is today.
Owner, Becky says it would be impossible to list every person that has made an impact in the success of her business, as well as an impact in her life, but feels they are all, a blessing from above!
Trying to "pay it forward " and believing there is enough success for everyone, A Kinder Touch has added some new elements to their touches.
Partnering with H.O.P.E. www.hope-agency.org and promoting young upcoming business owners with" in-store events", are something you will see continuing to grow at A Kinder Touch.
If you came to our April 16 trunk show, you experienced 2 young businesswomen that Becky is supporting.
